Rust Admin — server management panel for Rust in the browser

Rust Admin (rust admin) — a web panel for Rust server owners and admins: console, chat, moderation, uMod and SkyPlugins plugins, task scheduler, and Telegram. Connection via plugin without RCON.

Why use Rust Admin if there is RCON and FTP

If you run a single Rust server, the usual combination of RCON client, FileZilla, and a text editor for configs is sufficient. But as soon as a second wipe appears, a moderator in a different time zone, and a dozen plugins with different versions — everything gets scattered across different programs. You find yourself repeatedly searching for which server Oxide crashed on, which admin issued a ban, and when the last restart occurred.

Rust Admin (often searched as «rust admin») — is a unified web panel for managing Rust servers. Console, chat, files, plugins, statistics, reports, and team permissions are all gathered in one interface. It opens in a browser — from a computer or phone. Login via Steam, without separate logins for each server.

The service is designed for project owners, chief admins, and moderators who need to see the entire network at once, rather than switching between windows.

How servers connect

To connect the panel to the game server, the RustAdminAgent (Oxide/uMod) plugin is used. It is placed in the plugins folder, and one binding command is executed from the «Connect Server» window — and the server appears in the list. RCON and FTP are not required for basic connection: online status, FPS, memory, wipe, and agent status are updated automatically.

When you need to edit configs or download logs, the panel has a built-in FTP file manager — but this is an addition, not the only way to work with the server.

What can be done in the panel: overview of sections

Rust Admin has more than twenty sections. Below is a summary table: what each block does and who typically needs it.

Section Purpose Typical Task
Servers List of all connected machines, status, quick actions Check which wipe is on which server and go to the desired one
Console RCON commands in the browser, history, output stream Give an item, kick a player, reload a plugin
Chat Real-time message feed from the server Catch toxicity or advertising without entering the game
Players Who is online, Steam profile, notes, groups Quickly find a suspicious player and check their history
Map Wipe map with player positions Understand where a cheater is hiding or where a raid is happening
Reports Player complaints from the server Process the report queue without missing any
Checks Checklists for moderators (anti-cheat scenarios) Conduct checks according to a template and record results
Bans and Mutes Voice and access moderation Issue a mute in chat or a ban synchronized with the server
Sleeping Bags Lists of sleeping bags by players Find alternate accounts and related accounts
FTP / Files Server file manager Edit Oxide config without a separate client
Plugins uMod and SkyPlugins matrix across all servers Update outdated plugins with one click
Scheduler Scheduled tasks (cron) Nightly restart and announcements without an alarm
Statistics Graphs of FPS, online, RAM, network See drops before players start writing in Discord
Errors Console errors and exceptions in the log Find the cause of a crash after a plugin update
Audit Log of admin actions in the panel Understand who changed settings or issued permissions
Admins and Access Groups Permissions matrix, staff, panel sections Give a moderator only chat and reports, without console access
Radio Stations and Emojis Settings for custom content on servers Deploy a playlist or a set of stickers across the entire network

Console and chat — without extra programs

The RCON console in Rust Admin works directly in the browser tab: enter commands, see the server's response, without losing context — online status and machine name are visible nearby. For urgent situations, this is faster than searching for IP and password in notes.

The chat is pulled into the panel in real-time. You can read the conversation without entering the server and immediately go to the player's card — issue a mute or open a report.

Moderation: players, map, reports

The three tools most often used by moderators are interconnected. In the player list, you can see who is online; on the map — where they are standing; in reports — who has been complained about.

Reports come from the server through the agent — the queue is not lost if you were offline. Bans, mutes, and the checks section for anti-cheat scenarios are also available simultaneously.

Scheduler: restarts and commands on schedule

A restart at six in the morning, weekly wipe announcements, item issuance during events — all of this can be scheduled. A task is created once: specify cron or a ready-made template, choose a server or the entire network, and the panel will execute the command itself.

  • daily restart at a fixed time;
  • one task for all servers or only for the selected one;
  • history of launches and status of the last execution.

uMod and SkyPlugins plugins from the browser

Updating plugins — a painful topic for any network. In Rust Admin, the version matrix is visible: it is immediately clear which server has an outdated Oxide plugin and where the config diverges from the others. Updates come from the uMod catalog or the SkyPlugins page; the config can be edited in the editor with toggles and saved back to the server — including from a phone.

Files via FTP and load statistics

When direct disk access is needed — open the files section. Directory tree, downloading and uploading without a separate FTP client. Convenient when you are already in the panel for another reason and do not want to switch programs.

Statistics accumulate in the background: FPS, entity, online, RAM, network IN/OUT, and player ping. Graphs for each server and a summary for the network — period from several hours to a month. Manual measurements are not needed: drops are visible by trend, not by a single screenshot in chat.

Telegram: learn about problems before players do

The bot is connected once. After that, important events come to the messenger, even if the panel tab is closed:

  • console errors and exceptions in the log;
  • new versions of installed plugins in uMod and SkyPlugins;
  • loss and recovery of connection with the agent on the server.

Admin team: rights, audit, responsibility

In large projects, you cannot give everyone full access to the console. In Rust Admin, access groups and staff are configured: a moderator sees chat and reports, a technician — plugins and files, the owner — everything. The admin matrix shows who has what rights on which servers.

The audit section records actions in the panel — who changed settings, issued bans, edited configs. This removes disputes about «who did it» and helps in incident investigations.

Rust Admin and alternatives: why the web panel is more convenient

Task Without panel In Rust Admin
Multiple servers Separate RCON/FTP for each, notes with passwords One list, switch with one click
Update a plugin on 5 wipes Access each FTP, check versions manually Version matrix, update from the catalog
Nightly restart Alarm, manual command, or cron on hosting Scheduler in the interface, launch history
Moderator without console access Share RCON password or deny tasks Granular permissions by panel sections
Urgent response Need a PC with clients at hand Browser and Telegram from a phone

Pricing: where to start

There is a free 7-day demo — up to three servers, to test the panel on your network. Paid plans differ in server limits and feature sets for the team.

Plan Servers For whom
Demo up to 3 Try console, chat, files, and plugins without payment
Start up to 3 One project: scheduler, Telegram, statistics, reports
Pro up to 10 Multiple wipes, all sections, access groups for the team
Team unlimited Hosting and clans with a large network, audit and priority support

Payment is in rubles. You can log in via Steam — no separate registration is needed.

Who is Rust Admin suitable for

  • Network owner — to keep control over multiple servers, plugins, and restarts from one place.
  • Chief admin — to grant permissions to moderators without sharing RCON passwords.
  • Moderator — chat, reports, map, and players without installing extra software.
  • Technical admin — plugins, files, console errors, and load statistics.

If you were looking for «rust admin», «admin panel for Rust server» or «Rust management panel» — Rust Admin is exactly about that: less routine, more time for the project and players.

Start with logging in via Steam or open the main page to see demo sections and pricing. Connecting the first server takes a few minutes: download the agent, execute the binding command — and the entire network will be in one browser tab.
